New dress

Soon to go up on etsy. Has a pleated collar detail, and more playing with inserting things into necklines (in this case hip lines?). Just enjoying summer and all it's wonders of tie dye.

Beduoin inspired haute Couture

Remember yesterday? I posted several of my Bedouin inspiration photos.

They're beautiful with plays of rich colours against blacks, long flowing fabrics, and partially covered faces.

Givenchy Haute Couture showed a collection yesterday. There were obviously other influences (Riccardo Tisci appears to have a busy mind), but the jeweled face mask, the viels, and that red. I've been beaten to the finish line by a master couture house.

I've been working on non-collection pieces. Just getting new work out there and finished.

I may need to photograph this piece again, but I promise it's fun. Black linen, mesh lining. Robot inspired seaming.

I have so many pictures

I spent three days wandering around the south shore of nova scotia, and taking pictures.

We were lucky enough to tour the deck of the Bluenose II while she was at home port in Lunenburg, and I have some interesting shots that have got me thinking about what I'm going to do next (while, after I do what I'm doing next, so second to next?).

It was really foggy, so this isn't a great picture. this is an over exposed sky and an underexposed ship. oops.
